OmniPlex-S combines Plexon's OmniPlex system, in development for over 10 years and used in more than 1,000 peer reviewed publications, with SiNAPS active pixel sensor probes.

Unlike other high density active silicon probes on the market, SiNAPS lets researchers record from all electrode sites at once rather than selecting a limited subset. OmniPlex-S supports up to 4 SiNAPS probes at the same time, for up to 2,048 combined channels, with full online spike sorting and real time data access built into the platform.

SiNAPS Hardware

OmniPlex-S doesn't use standard headstages. Instead, it connects through this SiNAPS-specific hardware.

OmniPlex Chassis

Available as a rack-mounted or table-top form factor.

High Density Processor (HDP)

The SiNAPS-specific acquisition subsystem, previously called the DHP-SiNAPS.

SiNAPS Adaptor

The interface for SiNAPS probes, with high quality A/D conversion.

SiNAPS Probe

Available in 256, 512, and 1024 pixel configurations.

Probe Tester Unit (PTU)

For testing and troubleshooting the SiNAPS–OmniPlex connection.

System Tester Unit (STU)

Feeds up to 32 independent signals into the system for testing and demonstration.

Combine Electrophysiology With

CinePlex

Synchronized video tracking alongside neural recording.

Optogenetics

Add time-locked optogenetic stimulation alongside SiNAPS recording.

PlexBright can run standalone, or connect to OmniPlex-S via digital inputs so each system knows what the other is doing.

Adaptable Form Factors for Any Size Space

OmniPlex-S is available as either a rack-mounted chassis or a smaller table-top form factor, so it fits labs of any size without unnecessary clutter.
