CineLyzer Change Log ******************* Version 4.4.1 04/16/2019 ======================== New Features: ------------- + No new features. Improvements: ------------- + If one Combo event (say C1) is a part of another combo event (say C2), and the user undefines one or both events inside C1 - both C1 and C2 stop working. However, it isn't obvious that C2 no longer operates as expected. Changes were made to prevent the user (via a pop-up dialog) from undefining ing normal events inside a combo event, if the combo event is included in another combo event. Bug Fixes: ---------- + User-reported bug - inability to extract data for sessions recorded from cameras 2, 3 and 4 - Fixed. + Several internally reported bugs: - In Files mode, View Sessions As Recorded submode - modifying zones included in sequences should not be allowed. Fixed. - In Files mode, View Sessions As Recorded submode, Export Event Data dialog. If you press the No response to the Overlay Existing File question, the Export Event Intervals button is grayed out and should not be. Also - if you are trying to Export Event Intervals and press the No response to the overlay question, the Export Event Data button is grayed out and should not be. Fixed. - Cameras or Files mode - Events for sequences of more than two zones were sometimes not occurring when they should. Fixed. - Cameras or Files mode. When the digital output for an event is set to Pulse if the event becomes true, the digital output comes ON correctly, but can end prematurely if the object disappears. The DO line should stay ON for the entire user-desired interval. Fixed. - A user is unable add a "NOT" event to a combo because CLZ complains that the second event for the "NOT" is undefined. This is incorrect because there is only one event required for a "NOT". Fixed. Version 4.4.0 10/31/2018 ======================== Special Note --------------------------------------- + This version of CineLyzer will run CineLyzer with the Photometry option as well as 4 cameras implementation of CineLyzer (when the photometry source is deactivated or disconnected). Other Cine* products are not supported. New Features: ------------- + File sub-mode "Use Existing Session Data" has been renamed to "Analyze Session Data". + In addition to previously existing sub-modes of File mode ("Analyze Session Data" and "Add New Sessions"), new mode has been added - "View Sessions As Recorded". This mode allows looking at one session at a time. The session results and conditions use to record it are available in this mode. + Export of tracking coordinates and photometry data are available in "View Sessions As Recorded" mode only. + Export of behavioral events and photometry events added to "View Sessions As Recorded" mode on per-sesion basis. The export function provides events timestamps and intervals measured during recording of each session. + CineLyzer can now work with non-Plexon video files: .avi; .wmv; .mp4; .mpg; .mpeg Improvements: ------------- + Operation with black and white cameras is now supported. Bug Fixes: ---------- + Several internally reported bugs are fixed. CineLyzer Change Log ******************* Version 4.3.0 8/30/2018 ======================== Special Note --------------------------------------- + This version of CineLyzer will run CineLyzer with the Photometry option as well as 4 cameras implementation of CineLyzer (when the photometry source is deactivated or disconnected). Other Cine* products are not supported. New Features: ------------- + Supports 4 behavioral cameras, up to 60 fps. + Global combination events added. These allow event combinations within a single source (behavioral or photometry) - as combination-per-source combos do, and also combinations of both single and combo events from different sources. + Digital Output lines now restricted to one event at a time. + Zone and event name strings are propagated to other windows and reports. + Combination events added for fibers. Improvements: ------------- + Visualization of events in the Event Statistics tab provide better information on the event state, both online and offline. + Visualization of photometry heat maps is improved. + Added prompt to request verification of “Delete all fibers” request. Bug Fixes: ---------- + Several internally reported bugs are fixed, specifically for High True (HT) and Low True (LT) outputs in combination events, playing video files in File mode, etc. Version 4.2.1 06/01/2018 ======================== Special Note --------------------------------------- + This version of CineLyzer will run CineLyzer with the Photometry option as well as the single camera implementation of CineLyzer (when the photometry source is deactivated or disconnected). New Features: ------------- + Single camera CineLyzer operation enabled when the photometry source is deactivated. Improvements: ------------- + Bug Fixes: ---------- + Several internally reported bugs are fixed. Version 4.2.0 05/12/2018 ======================== Special Note for Users of Version 4.1.0 and earlier --------------------------------------- + CineLAB as a product family name doesn't exist anymore. CineCorder and CineTracker product names are obsolete as well. Starting from version 4.2.0 there is only one product line - CineLyzer - which includes recording, tracking, and behavior functionality. - All required changes have been made in the application and its documentation to reflect this change. + This version of CineLyzer will only run CineLyzer with the Photometry option hardware and license. Not to be used with older versions of CineLyzer. New Features: ------------- + Photometry feature has been added. + Capability to send Nth frame pulse has been implemented. + Global combination events allowing to combine both single and combination events from behavioral and photometry sources are added. Improvements: ------------- Bug Fixes: ---------- + In File mode, setting Brightness/Contrast for videos below 1 was causing all videos of the experiment to look damaged. Fixed now. Version 4.1.0 10/19/2016 ======================== Special Note for Users of Version 4.0.0 --------------------------------------- + Change in terminology: "Trials" are now called "Sessions" within CineLAB. - All required changes have been made in the application and its documentation to reflect this change. New Features: ------------- + The "Overlays" capability has been added. - Overlays allow additional analysis of a previously recorded and tracked experiment with different sets of arena and zones. - Arena and zone placements and shapes as well as calibration and background can be configured flexibly between sessions. - Multiple overlays can be created for an experiment. - Each overlay can be configured differently to analyze its experiment with different parameters yielding different analysis results. - Every change of the experiment or session parameters is saved automatically in the currently loaded overlay. - Immediate statistics are available for each overlay without the need to retrack or re-record. + The CineLAB USB DIO Interface device has been extended and enhanced. - Enables starting and stopping recording from external inputs. - Enables both high and low True outputs based on events detected while recording and tracking. + Several parameters are now saved on a per session basis and can be changed before or after recording and tracking. - Arenas, zones and calibration. - Background images. + New experiments can be created from scratch as before or based on overlays from other experiments. Improvements: ------------- + User can manually enter pixels, centimeters or inches for per-session calibration values. + Visualization of tracks for session groups is renewed after each new session has been added. + More visualization options for sessions and groups are added. + Descriptor types for experiments have been simplified. + Session descriptors are now called "variables", and their types have been simplified as well. + Only one comment field is supported for each experiment or session. The User Interface allows comment modifications both before recording and for previously recorded experiments or sessions. + Tracking algorithms for all modes have been improved. Bug Fixes: ---------- + Implemented minor changes to correct small errors, typos, usability issues, and other items found in external and internal testing of this and prior releases. Version 4.0.0 09/30/2015 ======================== Initial CineLAB version of the CinePlex product.
